Welcome to Halbrook

We are a small publisher of workbooks for primary and lower secondary school. We make one series, Learn and Explore, and we make it carefully. Our books are written by teachers who are still teaching and every problem in them has been tried on a real class before it was printed.

The Learn and Explore Series

Volume 7 is published and in the schools. Volume 8 is commissioned and will be announced when we have a date for it.

Problem of the Month

No. 47 (November): Find the smallest four-digit number that is equal to the cube of the sum of its own digits.

Send your answer to the office by 31 December. The solution will be printed next month along with the names of everybody who got it right.

How to Order

Schools may order by post or by telephone on a Tuesday. We do not take orders over the internet and we have no plans to. Individual copies can be had from any good bookshop by quoting the ISBN, which begins 978-1-90473-1 for every book we have ever published.

Have you found a mistake in one of our books? Please write and tell us. We print every correction we are sent, on a single sheet, once a year, and we do not mind at all.
